Sweet Summer: Yard Sale, Hiking, Sunflower and Okras!

The longest yard sale is back on this year! Always fun to look, even happier to find treasures at a steal! Don't you agree?
On the hiking front, we were shocked to see the falls at Foster Falls almost dry. The heat wave last week must have done it. We had hiked Foster Falls over the July 4 weekend, and not only were the waterfalls quite full, the place was packed!
Now you see it

Now you don't
This amazing sunflower captivated our attention the last several days. We're thrilled to see it transform from a mere seed to a plant over 5 feet tall.
This native American beauty is fully open!
Wow!, it's taller than me!

Be safe and stay well!

  1. Lovely series of photos. Enjoyed seeing the world's longest yard sale. Cast Iron is still good cookware.

  2. ...there are several garage sales that go for miles in this area, we need to get rid of stuff and not buy stuff! A couple weeks ago it rained, so we visited a waterfall, it looked good. I have about 6 varieties of sunflowers in my garden, they are short and good for cut flowers. Okra isn't popular with us Yankees! Enjoy your week.

  3. I am a seller not a buyer at garage sales. It looks like fun. We have a cast iron frying pan and I love it.
