Spring may have sprung in Chattanooga, but it was still feeling very much like winter in Boston when we visited almost three weeks ago. Even so, Boston is beautiful in the spring, and I was looking forward to updating my digital photo albums with pictures from our trip.

A nine-hour drive took us to Washington, D.C., where we visited some friends and, of course, went to see the cherry blossoms. Another plus for my digital photo albums!
A couple of days later, we hit the road again for another nine-hour drive to Boston. It was March 28, and there were still remnants of winter on the ground. And then, on April 1, more of the wet white stuff arrived—and this was no April Fool’s joke!
We had a wedding to attend, and snow spelled trouble with a capital T. Thankfully, the wedding day turned out to be beautiful, and most of the snow had melted away by then. We were very grateful!

Do we miss Boston? Surprisingly, no. We’ve had enough of the weather! As much as we adore Boston and love cruising its waters, it’s good to remember that there’s life beyond New England. So many places are waiting to be explored—in the South and far beyond. The world is calling, and who knows when or where we’ll head next?
